Hello readers. This week's photo was taken by Maetavarin Maneekulpan during a diving trip in the Maldives in December last year. While snorkelling, she perfectly captured this gigantic, yet gentle, whale shark, who came so very close to her boat.
"We were extremely lucky to have been able to spend a lot of time swimming together. I love this photo because it is a very rare chance that one can get this close to such an amazing creature."
