Welcome to hell

The US Army Special Forces (SFAS) Green Berets are America's elite warfare specialists. Who exactly are they and what does it take to become one?

Find out what it takes to become one of America’s elite green beret warfare specialists in Two Weeks in Hell which premieres on Sun, May 9 at 8pm on TrueVisions D20.
This May, Discovery Channel takes an unprecedented close-up look at the selection process - a brutal two-week boot camp that will separate the boys from the Berets.

Discover what the SFAS candidates have to go through in Two Weeks in Hell. The two-hour special premieres on Sun, May 9 at 8pm and repeats the same night at 11pm, May 10 at 7am and 1pm, and May 16 at 3am and 7am on Discovery Channel.

The Green Berets rely on creative, innovative and stealthy tactics to destabilise enemies from within a hostile environment. A Green Beret candidate may think he is the right man for the job but the SFAS will find out for sure through a series of challenges that are both mentally and physically arduous.

Through first-hand access, Discovery Channel's Two Weeks in Hell will take you deep into the gruelling selection process candidates go through to become a Green Beret.

Over 14 days, a candidate's true character is exposed through various challenges, designed to mentally and physically exhaust the aspirants - and their egos - down to their core.

The Green Berets know exactly what they are looking for and the SFAS cadre will attempt to twist the minds and bodies of those who want the part.

Candidates come from all across America, from both military and civilian lives, and most have no idea what they are really getting into. Those who may have heard rumours about what lies ahead will hardly have time to ponder the pain before the real suffering begins.

The SFAS has only one purpose - to find candidates who have the physical and emotional ability to become Green Berets. Everything at the selection regime has a reason and candidates can be sure this is unlike any selection process in the world.

For those who try out, it is an avalanche of chaos, stress and doubt. 60 percent will not last the two weeks - and passing this test is just for the opportunity to start real Green Beret training.

Experience the anguish, pain, determination, and willpower of these Green Beret hopefuls as they try to survive Two Weeks in Hell.
